Here are some pictures I took today experimenting with the Aperture setting on my camera. Well I wasn't really experimenting cause that implies I knew what i was doing, and I didn't. Also it was raining and the family was in a hurry to get back to the car, so I didn't have time to think about what I was doing. Anyway, the first three have that nice blurry background. The purple thistle is a bit out of focus because it was moving in the wind. I like the thistles silhouetted against the sky too. I will take some more photos during the week, hopefully really concentrating on what I am doing.

and this is you struggling ! like you I don't particularly understand the ins and outs but it is sinking in - very slowly ;-) and your photo's by the way are great - I can't see anything to focus on on the last photo so maybe that's why you don't have the blur you were after ? Last course I foiund someone local to me and we met up - I found that really useful - we both didn't understand it all but managed to find the bits I didn't know she did so we helped each other.
