Week #26 Canal Festival

This week's walk was a short at at the Union Canal where the Canal Raft Festival was taking place.

Lots of home made rafts.

Week #25 Melrose

This week's walk was at Melrose in the Scottish Borders. Lots of interest-the Abbey, nice textural details, like rust, brickwork, and splintered wood..
Some interesting examples of symmetry, a fabulous old unused railway station feeling like something from the wild west..

Week #24 Leith Festival

So for this week's walk I went down to Leith to watch the parade and look at the stalls at The Leith Festival.
These photos should be bright and colourful, but I was pretty well shooting into the sun and they are generally over exposed. I am so cross at myself for forgetting to check the histogram!
Lesson learned!

Week #23

This week I met up with some other keen photgraphers and we headed out to Port Seton for a photo walk.

Week #22 The Pentland Hills

The Pentland Hills are the hills just south of Edinburgh. In fact you can see them from the top of our street, and walk out from the house into the hills. But this walk is further out past Silverburn, and takes you up past a farm, where there is an interesting array of farm paraphernalia which makes for some interesting photos. Here are a few:
