Roofline

We went to the dentist today and I took a quick snap of this building
on the way. It is on the corner of Ardmillan Terrace and Slateford Road.
I love all the turrets and gables.

Spring

Spring has arrived!
Today I was able to do some gardening for the first time this year.
Things are starting to grow, green shoots and buds appearing everywhere...
and so are the weeds!
So I chose this as my photo of the day,
because nothing says Spring like daffodils-
and you can see the weeds too!



I found these delicate flowers hiding in the undergrowth.
I don't know what they are, but they sure are pretty!

I think the big buds belong to a peony of some kind

Kitchen

Nothing exciting today, just my kitchen, tidied by Emily!!

Gable

I was in Leith today.
This is the gable end of the old Dr Bell's hospital
on Great Junction Street.

Street Scene

Another shot from my car. This is Leith Walk, at the east end of Princes St,
in the city centre.
I like this old barber shop,
with the red and white striped barber's pole. and underneath,
in the basement, is a secondhand book shop that my husband frequents!

Tower block

Edinburgh is not all Medieval, Georgian and Victorian buildings.
We also have 1960s tower blocks.
These are council housing, in the poorer parts of Edinburgh.
