This is the same flower that I photographed a couple of days ago. Won't be long now until it's fully open!

Prague: Doors
If you're into doors, then you would love Prague. I could have taken hundreds of photos of doors alone- they were all beautiful, big heavy ornate doors; humble weathered wooden doors, metal doors-doors of all shapes and sizes.
I love the door in the John Lennon wall:
and here are a selection of other beautiful doors:

Prague: Day 3
It was Easter and these trees decorated with balloons and streamers were dotted around the various squares. they were really very pretty.
Here are some pictures of some of the little details we found interesting around Prague, like the decorated eggs, the marionettes, and the variety of signs around the city.

Prague: day 2
I really like the today's photo-Prague has beautiful street lamps like this one in the Kampa area :
Just around the corner is The John Lennon Wall. After John Lennon died in 1980 he became a symbol of peace and democracy amonst the youth of Prague, who painted images of him, his songs, peace signs etc. These were always whitewashed over by the authorities, -remember this was still when Czechoslavakia was a communist dictatorship-but the graffitti would reappear. Today it looked like a giant work of art-colourful and symbolic, and Emily and I loved it!
And some more sights-lovely quaint streets, ornate architecture and wonderful views across the spires and domes of the skyline:

Prague: Day1
What a fabulous time we had in Prague. The sun shone every day, the skies were BLUE! YAY!
and it was warm enough to sit and eat at the outdoor cafes at night!
And beer was the cheapest thing to drink-cheaper than coffee, coke or water-no kidding!
Prague is a picturebook pretty city-like something out of a fairy tale. It is one of those cities with winding streets offering glimpses of what's around the corner. There are so many interesting things to take photos of-sweeping views across the river, wonderful skylines, picturesque buildings, great architecture and interesting street scenes.
My picture of the day is looking across Old Town Square to Chram Matky Bozi pred Tynem-the Church of Our Lady. The twin spires have gold stars, and at night these glow and look like they are floating above the church. Stunning!
This collage is a collection of sights we saw as we walked around on our first day, getting our bearings. Click for a closer look.
Between us we took over 600 photos! Don't you just love the freedom of digital photography?
Believe me, choosing just a few to put up is not an easy task!

Aberfeldy
We had a lovely day out in Aberfeldy today. The sun was shining and
the spring flowers were in bloom. Such a pretty little village!
This is the Black Watch monument.
I love the snow on the hills in the background.
Love this pavilion-I think it may be the bowling club. Love the
park bench too!
And some detail from around the town.
Look at the decorative barge boards on the gable of the house-so pretty!

Pig
I parked my car today and when I got out I could hear weird sounds,
so I peeked over the fence and saw this guy, and some of his friends,
and cows, and goats, and sheep. It was a bit of a shock since I was almost
in the city centre. I soon realized it was Gorgie City Farm-
a little place where city children can go and see farm animals in the flesh.
